Acknowledgement of country
The Perth Organising Committee of the 2027 World Police & Fire Games would like to acknowledge and pay tribute to the Whadjuk people of the Noongar Nation as the Traditional Custodians of the Country (Boodja) on which we work. We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Western Australia and recognise their continuing and cultural connection to land, waters and community. We pay our respect to them, their cultures, and to Elders both past and present. We also acknowledge our gratitude that we share this land today, our sorrow for some of the costs of that sharing, and our hope and belief that we can move to a place of equity, justice and partnership together – a place of reconciliation.
