Competitors may enter both the 3×3 and 5×5 Basketball Events.

No practice sessions will be arranged by Perth 2027 WPFG. Public shared courts are available for independent practice.

Teams are to provide their own practice ball for any practices prior to the competition.

Teams shall supply their own uniforms with unique numbers on their shirts. Shirts must be identical in colour. Each team must have two different coloured shirts available to compete in.

Teams shall be formed of a maximum 12 players and one non-playing coach.

Each team shall designate an individual to function as the team captain for each game.

Previous WPFG Division II winners shall compete in Division I.

Any team may elect to compete in Division I with WPFGF Approval. WPFG reserves the right to place a team in either Division.

COMPETITION FORMAT

Groups of 4 to 5 teams shall be established. The competition will be played in a round robin format followed by Single Elimination.

Each game shall be 4 running time periods of 10 minutes. The last two minutes of the 4th period are stop clock.

The competition will be played over 5 days from morning to afternoon. 

Each team must begin the game with 5 players on court. A team will forfeit the game if there are not at least 3 players on the court.

Medals are awarded to athletes placing first through third.

Awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday, 17 March 2027 at the competition venue.

This venue is serviced by a dedicated WPFG Shuttle. 

Walk or use your free public transport to get to Elizabeth Quay Bus Station.  

From there multiple WPFG Shuttles will run throughout the day getting you to and from Bendat Basketball Stadium.
