Fighters must be registered in their country with a boxing body affiliated with World Boxing. Written proof of membership is required.
Unregistered fighters, or fighters from boxing bodies not affiliated with World Boxing are ineligible to compete.
MEDICAL REQUIREMENTS
All entrants are required to submit a current medical release in the form of the World Boxing ‘Boxers Medical Certificate’ signed by a licensed physician, based upon a medical examination performed within six months of WPFG competition.
Australian fighters must bring their Blue Book and proof of their most recent serology (blood) test results dated within six months of WPFG competition.
International fighters are required to submit to serology (blood) testing in Perth prior to competition.
Testing shall be conducted no later than Friday 12 March, 2027. A fee of $60 AUD (approx $45 USD) shall be paid by the fighter direct to the pathology centre at the time of testing.
Specific information regarding this process will be provided in the Confirmation Letter.

As per World Boxing rules, all boxers who have competed in any professional boxing or any professional combat sport other than boxing shall not be permitted to compete in Games at any level. (Does not include FX Toughman competition)
Male competitors must state on their application either Novice, Intermediate, Open Division 1 or Open Division 2.
Female competitors must state Novice/Intermediate or Open on their Application Form.
Both Male and Female competitors must include their projected weight class.
Note: MMA fights and Kickboxing fights count as 1 bout. All bouts fought outside of the WPFG count as a bout.
Novice Class Boxers: Shall not have fought in more than 5 (five) amateur bouts.
Intermediate Class Boxers: Shall not have fought in more than 10 (ten) amateur bouts, nor more than 10 Police Olympics, Police Summer Games, or Police and Fire Games, International Police Olympics, Fire Olympics, or World Police and Fire Games bouts or any combination of 10 bouts thereof.
Open Class Division 1 Boxers: Shall not have fought in more than 25 (twenty five) amateur bouts, nor more than 25 Police Olympics, Police Summer Games, or Police and Fire Games, International Police Olympics, Fire Olympics, or World Police and Fire Games bouts or any combination of 25 bouts thereof.
Open Class Division 2 Boxers: Boxers who do not qualify for either Novice, Intermediate or Open Class Division 1 (those with 25 or less bouts) shall compete in this class.
The Technical Adviser, in consultation with the Sports Coordinator, shall move any boxer assessed as entered in the incorrect category, irrespective of the class claimed by the competitor.
- This is a Safety Issue & at the discretion of the Technical Adviser.
- Any suggestion of competitor “sand-bagging” will be the subject of disciplinary action by the responsible WPFG Federation Director.
The maximum boxing age is 40. Boxers will be ineligible to compete on their 41st birthday. Age is determined as of the first day of the competition. NO EXCEPTIONS.

The Draw.
The draw shall take place after the medical examination and weigh-in. The draw shall proceed first for the boxers to box in the first series and then for the byes. Byes. In competitions where there are more than four competitors, a sufficient number of byes shall be drawn in the first series to reduce the number of competitors in the second series to 4, 8, 16, or 32. If there are over eight (8) boxers in the same class and weight division an “A” & “B” division will be created and a second set of medals awarded. The boxing officials will divide the division taking age and experience into consideration.

Medals are awarded to athletes placing first through third in each division (with dual bronze medals for third).
Awards ceremonies will take place at the end of competition following the gold medal fights.

A weigh-in will be conducted the day prior to competition for the specific weight category. All competitors must produce their Report of Medical Examination at this time.
