sport information
Competitors MUST be qualified (i.e. some type of formal training for safety purposes) with their firearms and familiar with range safety.
PAP events are dynamic shooting competitions that test a competitor’s ability to balance accuracy, power and speed whilst engaging multiple targets in varied ways. There will be a total of 15 stages.
Competitor numbers will be capped at 270.
Attendance at all range safety briefings is mandatory for all competitors.

Medals are awarded for individuals and teams placing first through third within the classifications.
Awards ceremonies will take place at the conclusion of the match. Exact times TBC.
equipment
Competitors MUST use only equipment (firearms, accessories, ammunition, devices) and apparel that comply with ISSF rules. The competitor is responsible for submitting all equipment and apparel for official inspection and approval to a WPFG Equipment Inspector prior to competition.
Competitors are responsible for supplying firearms and ammunition. Australian law restricts the importation of some firearm types & ammunition into Australia, even for the purposes of a sporting competition. Prohibited firearms will be seized and forfeited by border officials.
Perth 2027 will assist all competitors with the import, export and required to enter Australia and the temporary licensing paperwork for Western Australia.
Ear & Eye Protection
Competitors MUST supply their own ear and eye protection. It is mandatory for ear and eye protection to be worn during shooting. Eye protection, in the form of shatterproof shooting glasses or similar is to be worn. Earmuffs, ear plugs or protectors, passive or electronic must be worn. Apple Air-pods and similar earbuds are not adequate ear protection unless custom moulded to provide hearing protection. Earbuds specifically designed to offer hearing protection are acceptable.
Clothing
All shooting jackets, trousers and gloves must be made of flexible material that does not materially change its physical characteristics, that is, become stiffer, thicker or harder, under commonly accepted shooting conditions. All lining, padding and reinforcements must meet the same specifications. Any lining or padding must not be quilted, cross-stitched, glued or otherwise affixed to the outer clothing layer other than at normal tailoring points. All lining or padding must be measured as a part of the clothing.
Shoes must be worn on the range. Open toe or open heeled shoes, sandals or any other similar footwear are not allowed. Normal street type or light athletic shoes are permitted. Special shooting shoes must comply with ISSF footwear rules, including the mandatory shoe sole flexibility test.
Camouflage clothing of any nature is prohibited from being worn on any range.
Firearms
Only handguns listed as approved in the Production Division List on the IPSC website and fitted with an optical/ electronic sight may be used in the Production and Production Optics Divisions. Note that handguns deemed by IPSC to be single action only are expressly prohibited. Maximum barrel length 127 mm. The minimum trigger pull must either be 2.27 kg (5 lbs) for the first shot fired and no restriction for subsequent shots fired, or 1.36 kg (3 lbs) for every shot fired.
The competitor’s firearm and all allied equipment accessible to them, inclusive of ammunition during a course of fire are subject to compliance testing, if requested by a WPFG Match Official.
Please note that the largest calibre handgun allowed for import into Australia by competitors is .40 calibre. .45 ACP is prohibited.
Ammunition will be available for purchase by competitors prior to competition, further information will be provided after registration. The minimum cartridge case dimension for handguns to be used in PAP matches is 9×19 mm. The minimum bullet diameter is 9 mm (.354 inches).
Magazines: Magazines with capacity greater than 10 are prohibited in Western Australia and prohibited to import into Australia. Competitors will need to source magazines with a capacity of ten rounds or less.

Use your free public transport to get to Ballajura Train Station.
From there multiple WPFG Shuttles will run throughout the day getting you to and from Whiteman Park International Shooting Complex.
