All players on a team shall wear similar colour and style shirts with an Arabic number of contrasting colour measuring at least 6 inches in height on the back.
No players on the same team may wear identical numbers (e.g. 03 and 3). Players without numbers will not be permitted to play.
No practice sessions will be arranged by Perth 2027 WPFG.
Women will use an 11 inch softball when batting. Men will use a 12 inch softball when batting. This also applies in the Mixed event.

format
competition format
Men’s 18+ A & B Divisions will be determined by the result of Group Play.
When placing teams into groups, top seeds from previous games will be placed in separate groups (6 teams per group).
After Group Play, the teams will be divided into 2 divisions. The top two teams from each group will be placed in Division A, and third and fourth place teams will be placed in Division B.
A Double Elimination playoff in each division will follow to determine medal winners.
Women’s, Mixed and Men’s 35+ and 45+ will be played in Group Play format, followed by a Double Elimination Play-Off.
All games will be 1 hour 10 minutes (no new inning will start after 1 hour 10 minutes). Exception: If after 5 innings, one team is 12 runs ahead the game will be called.
There will be no time limits for medal games and the game leading to the medal round.

Medals are awarded to athletes placing first through third in each division.
Awards ceremony will take place on Thursday 18 March 2027 at the venue.
