SPORTS INFORMATION
Competitors may enter both the 5×5 and 3×3 Basketball Events.
No practice sessions will be arranged by Perth 2027 WPFG. Public shared courts are available for independent practice. Teams are to provide their own practice ball on any practice days prior to competition.
Teams shall supply their own uniforms with unique numbers on their jerseys (shirts). Jerseys must be identical in colour. Each team must have two different coloured jerseys available to compete in.

DIVISIONAL PLAY
The following rules govern the placement of teams in either Division I or Division II.
Previous WPFG Division II winners shall compete in Division I.
Division I
– Combined teams from states/provinces or similar regions within a country.
– Medal winners in Division I from the previous WPFG (see WPFG General Rules).
– Any team may elect to compete in Division I with WPFGF approval.
Division II
– All other teams may compete in Division II.
WPFG reserves the right to place a team in either Division I/Division II.
FORMAT
COMPETITION FORMAT
The competition will be played in a round robin format followed by single elimination. Groups from 4 to 5 teams shall be established.
The competition will be played over 5 days from morning to afternoon.
Maximum twelve (12) players on a team plus one (1) Non-Playing Coach. A team must begin the game with 5 players on the court. A team will forfeit the game if there are not at least 3 players on the court.
AWARDS
Medals are awarded for teams placing first through third.
Awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday, 17 March 2027 at the venue, following competition.
GETTING THERE
This venue is serviced by a dedicated WPFG Shuttle.
Walk or use your free public transport to get to Elizabeth Quay Bus Station.
From there multiple WPFG Shuttles will run throughout the day getting you to and from Bendat Basketball Stadium.
