T20 Cricket is a fast-paced, shortened format of cricket where each team faces a maximum of 20 overs (120 balls) in a single innings.
Equipment & Clothing
All equipment and attire must comply with official cricket standards.
To be provided by organisers: Cricket balls, stumps, bails, and scoreboards.
To be supplied by Teams: Bats and all personal protective equipment.
As a safety Requirement, Helmets must be worn when batting, wicketkeeping up to the stumps, and fielding close to the batter.
Players must wear appropriate cricket attire, including footwear and socks. Team uniforms must be consistent (coloured or white/cream). Shorts and singlets are not permitted when batting or fielding.

format
Competition Format
Matches are played between two teams of 11 players, plus a maximum of four substitute fielders. Games typically last around 3 hours, with a 15-minute break between innings.
The competition follows the Laws of Cricket (2017 Code, updated 2022) and ICC T20 playing conditions, unless modified by WPFG guidelines.
Teams will be divided into groups and play Round robin matches played within groups.
Top teams progress to knockout stage
Semi-finals winners proceed to Final (Gold Medal Match)
Semi-final losers compete for Bronze Medal
Match Format
- Each team bats once, up to 20 overs
- Powerplay: First 6 overs with fielding restrictions
- Maximum 4 overs per bowler
- Matches may be shortened due to interruptions (using DLS method if needed)
- Minimum 5 overs per side required to constitute a match
Results & Points
- Win: 2 points
- Loss: 0 points
- No Result: 1 point each
- Tied matches: decided by a Super Over (repeated if still tied)

Medals are awarded to athletes placing first through third in each division.
Award ceremonies will take place at the conclusion of the tournament.

Walk or use your free public transport to get to Elizabeth Quay Bus Station.
From there, a dedicated Games Shuttle will convey you to the relevant playing field Hale or Christ Church, with a return service.
