sport information
Maximum of ten players on a team, plus 1 non-playing coach.
A team can have a maximum of 7 players on the court. A team will forfeit the game if there are not at least 5 players on the court.
For mixed teams, 4 men maximum are allowed on each team, and 3 men maximum are allowed on court at any time.
Male players must be positioned in different thirds of the court (attack, centre, and defence), and there may be restrictions on where they can play within those thirds according to netball rules. The positions in each third are as follows:
Attack: GA or GS
Centre: C, WA, WD
Defence: GD or GK
All competitors must wear a team uniform. Uniform shirts must be identical in colour. Each team must provide their own bibs marked with positions. The playing positions are Goal Shooter (GS), Goal Attack (GA), Wing Attack (WA), Centre (C), Wing Defence (WD), Goal Defence (GD) and Goal Keeper (GK)
Women may enter both the women’s and mixed competitions; however, if a scheduling conflict occurs, they must choose which competition they will participate in.
Game schedules will not be adjusted to accommodate individual competitors or teams. Entry fees will not be refunded due to a competitor’s scheduling conflict.
Each team must appoint a Team Captain for each game. A non-playing coach may serve as Team Captain, provided they meet WPFG athlete eligibility requirements.
No practice sessions will be arranged by Perth 2027 WPFG.

DIVISION I | Teams formed from similar regions within a country shall compete in Division I. Any team may elect to compete in Division I with WPFGF Approval. |

WPFG reserves the right to place a team in either Division.
format
COMPETITION FORMAT
The competition will begin with a Round Robin stage, followed by a Single Elimination Finals Tournament based on their Round Robin standings.
Each game will consist of four 10-minute periods of running time.
awards
Medals are awarded to athletes placing first through third.
Awards ceremony will take place following the completion of the competition for that division. The ceremony will take place at the venue.
getting there
This venue is serviced by the Mount Claremont Precinct WPFG Shuttle.
Walk or use your free public transport to get to Elizabeth Quay Bus Station.
From there multiple WPFG Shuttles will run throughout the day getting you to and from Gold Netball Stadium.
