Three PPC World Association Matches will be shot:

1500 Match

Distinguished Police Match

Stock Service Match

Competitors MUST be qualified (i.e. some type of formal training for safety purposes) with their firearms and familiar with range safety.

Competitor numbers will be capped at 150.

Attendance at scheduled practice and all range safety briefings are mandatory for all competitors.

DIVISION CLASSIFICATION

WPFG classifications will be used.

A competitor without an established WPFG classification may use their official National Classification Score Card

or Score Record Book (NRA or WA1500 classification) to receive an “Assigned Classification”.

Because WA1500 skill classifications do not correspond to NRA classifications, an individual’s average score as recorded here https://wa1500.org/rangliste.php will be used to assign a classification for the competition.

Any competitor without an established WPFG classification who cannot present such evidence will shoot their individual event. The score they obtain will be used to determine their proper classification.

This classification will also be used for the team event.

The WPFG reserves the right to reclassify any shooter based upon “known ability” or other evidence to the skill of the individual.

For the team events, competitors must shoot the Individual PPC match to be eligible to shoot the team event.

The score for the team event is taken from match five of the WA1500 individual event.

INDIVIDUAL EVENTS

Competitors must shoot at least one of the WA1500 Matches to be eligible to shoot the following distinguished and/or Stock Service Matches.

Competitors can shoot both firearm classes, revolver and semi-automatic.

However, can only shoot two of the three 1500 or Stock Service matches, i.e. 1500 Revolver and 1500 Pistol (semi auto), or 1500 Duty Optic Pistol (semi-auto) and 1500 Pistol (semi auto), or any other combination.

Team events

Teams must be identified prior to the start of competition.

Three PPC World Association Matches will be shot:

1500 match

A precision pistol match built around a maximum possible score of 1500 points, achieved by firing 150 shots at distances ranging from seven to 50 yards in multiple shooting positions.

Optic sight categories will be included in the 1500 and Stock Service matches. NRA classification rules and scores will be used.

Distinguished Police Match

The 60 round NRA National Police Course shot with strictly regulated, factory standard firearms.

Stock Service Match

A 48 shot event designed to be fired with standard, duty type revolvers or semi-auto’s between three and 25 yards in multiple shooting positions.

Medals are awarded for individuals and teams placing first through third within the classifications.

Awards ceremonies will take place at the conclusion of the match. Exact times TBC.

Awards will be given in two categories for each 1500 match: Open and Stock Service firearm.

equipment

Competitors MUST use only equipment (firearms, accessories, ammunition, devices) and apparel that comply with ISSF rules. The competitor is responsible for submitting all equipment and apparel for official inspection and approval to a WPFG Equipment Inspector prior to competition.

Competitors are responsible for supplying firearms and ammunition. Australian law restricts the importation of some firearm types & ammunition into Australia, even for the purposes of a sporting competition. Prohibited firearms will be seized and forfeited by border officials.

Perth 2027 will assist all competitors with the import, export and required to enter Australia and the temporary licensing paperwork for Western Australia.

Ear & Eye Protection

Competitors MUST supply their own ear and eye protection. It is mandatory for ear and eye protection to be worn during shooting. Eye protection, in the form of shatterproof shooting glasses or similar is to be worn. Earmuffs, ear plugs or protectors, passive or electronic must be worn. Apple Air-pods and similar earbuds are not adequate ear protection unless custom moulded to provide hearing protection. Earbuds specifically designed to offer hearing protection are acceptable.

Clothing

All shooting jackets, trousers and gloves must be made of flexible material that does not materially change its physical characteristics, that is, become stiffer, thicker or harder, under commonly accepted shooting conditions. All lining, padding and reinforcements must meet the same specifications. Any lining or padding must not be quilted, cross-stitched, glued or otherwise affixed to the outer clothing layer other than at normal tailoring points. All lining or padding must be measured as a part of the clothing.

Shoes must be worn on the range. Open toe or open heeled shoes, sandals or any other similar footwear are not allowed. Normal street type or light athletic shoes are permitted. Special shooting shoes must comply with ISSF footwear rules, including the mandatory shoe sole flexibility test.

Camouflage clothing of any nature is prohibited from being worn on any range.

Firearms

Ammunition will be available for purchase by competitors prior to competition, further information will be provided after registration.

Revolver Ammunition as specified in NRA Rule 3.17. No high speed or Magnum ammunition will be allowed.

Open Class Division Firearms Either hand loaded, or factory loaded ammunition may be used. Wadcutter ammunition is allowed.

Stock Service Firearms and Distinguished Firearms Either hand loaded, or factory loaded ammunition may be used. No wadcutter ammunition is allowed.

Only revolvers fitting the description within the NRA Police Pistol Combat Rule book (section 3.2) may be used in the 1500 Revolver division. Note that Australian Law prohibits the use of any calibre greater than .38 for PPC competitions.

Only revolvers fitting the description within the NRA Police Pistol Combat Rule book (section 3.4) may be used in the Distinguished Revolver division.

Only revolvers fitting the description within the NRA Police Pistol Combat Rule book (section 3.6) may be used in the Stock Service Revolver division. Revolver barrel lengths are to be longer than 100 mm but less than 101.6 mm to comply with Australian firearm import legislation and NRA rules.

Only semi-autos fitting the description within the NRA Police Pistol Combat Rule book (section 3.3.1) and fitted with an optical sight (section 3.3.2) may be used in the 1500 Semi-Auto and Optical Sight Semi-Auto divisions. Approved Duty Optics pursuant to NRA Police Pistol Combat Bulletin 19.1 must be used.

Only semi-autos fitting the description within the NRA Police Pistol Combat Rule book (section 3.5) may be used in the Distinguished Semi-Auto division.

Only semi-autos fitting the description within the NRA Police Pistol Combat Rule book (section 3.7) may be used in the Stock Service Semi-Auto division. Semi-auto barrel lengths are to be longer than 120 mm but less than 139.7 mm to comply with Australian firearm import legislation and NRA rules.

Only semi-autos fitting the description within the NRA Police Pistol Combat Rule book (section 3.10.1) may be used in the Production Duty Optic Semi-Auto division. Approved Duty Optics pursuant to NRA Police Pistol Combat Bulletin 19.1 must be used. Note that Australian Law prohibits the use of any calibre greater than .38 for PPC competitions. 40 calibre and above are prohibited.

Magazines with capacity greater than 10 are prohibited in Western Australia and prohibited to import into Australia. Competitors will need to source magazines with a capacity of ten rounds or less. It is recommended that competitors source a minimum of six magazines for PPC to allow for firearm and magazine malfunction contingencies.

Holsters a conventional right or left-handed holster must be used. For safety reasons, shoulder, cross draw, or holsters which require releasing by insertion of finger within the trigger guard will not be allowed. Semi-Automatic pistol holsters must completely cover the trigger. (NRA rule 3.14). Please note Australia has further restrictions on holster set up which will be articulated closer to the games.

This venue is serviced by the Whiteman Park Precinct WPFG Shuttle.

Use your free Smartrider to travel to Ballajura Train Station.

From there, multiple WPFG Shuttles will run throughout the day, getting you to and from Whiteman Park International Shooting Complex.
