sport information

Teams consist of a maximum of 14 players plus one non-playing coach.

A maximum of six players will be on the field. In the case of Mixed competition, the maximum number of males allowed on the field is three (3) with a minimum number of males being one.

Uniforms are to be worn and comply with F.I.T. standards requiring:

Team Consistency: All players on the same team must wear identical shirts/jerseys and shorts.

Numbered Jerseys: Jerseys must have a number on the back with a minimum height of 16cm.

Shoes without screw-in cleats/studs are to be worn by all players. Soft molded soles are permitted with a maximum length of 13 mm (approx. 1/2 inch) of any molded cleats/studs (measured from the sole of the shoe).

Touch Rugby will be played on a natural grass surface.

Players entering in either the Mens 18+, Womens 18+ or Mens 35+ can compete in the mixed competition.

Players may NOT compete in both Men’s 18+ and Men’s 35+.

COMPETITION FORMAT

The competition will use a pool play format.

Each game will be 45 minutes in length, comprised of two 20-minute halves and a 5-minute half-time break.

In group play, winners are awarded three (3) points; losers awarded one (1) point and two points per team are awarded for ties.

Medals are awarded to athletes placing first through third.

Award ceremonies will take place after the finals on the last day of competition.

 

GETTING THERE

This venue is serviced by the Mount Claremont Precinct WPFG Shuttle. 

 

Walk or use your free public transport to get to Elizabeth Quay Bus Station. 

From there multiple WPFG Shuttles will run throughout the day getting you to and from Perth High Performance Centre (PHPC).
