sport information
Equipment requirements are as follows
Long Board
For this event, Long Boards must be a minimum of 9 feet.
Short Board
The design of Short Boards is unlimited.
Body Board
Body (Boogie) Boards shall not exceed 5 feet in overall length, must be flexible and include some portion of soft exterior skin.
Athletes may choose to use fins (flippers).

format
COMPETITION FORMAT
Competitors will be bracketed into heats based on the number of entries per event.
Heats will be 15 minutes in duration with 5 minute extensions as necessary to allow for sufficient catchable waves.
Finals will be 20 minutes in duration with minimum 5 minute extensions as necessary to allow for sufficient catchable waves.
The schedule may be adjusted based on projections for the surf. The sport may be postponed, rescheduled or cancelled if unavoidable on account of stormy conditions or high waves.
Heat Scoring will be calculated based on the best 2 waves from a maximum of 10 waves ridden by each surfer. Further waves ridden will not be scored.
Final Scoring will be calculated based on the best 2 waves from a maximum of 15 waves ridden by each surfer. Further waves ridden will not be scored.

Medals are awarded to athletes placing first through third in each division.
Awards ceremony will take place each day at the end of each event. The ceremony will take place at the venue.
getting there
This venue is serviced by the Stirling Precinct WPFG Shuttle.
Walk or use your free public transport to get to Elizabeth Quay Bus Station.
From there a dedicated WPFG Games shuttle from will convey you to Trigg Beach, with a return service.
Equipment will be conveyed separately by Games Team Trailers from the Games Hub. More information will be provided after registration.
