sport information

Competitors may enter both the Beach and Indoor Volleyball.

Player uniforms require clearly visible, non-duplicated numbers on the front and back of the jersey.

For team events, if teams assign a Libero to their roster, the Libero must wear a contrasting colour uniform/jersey to distinguish themselves.

No practice sessions will be arranged by Perth 2027 WPFG.

Each team shall consist of a minimum of 6 players and a maximum of 12 plus 1 non-playing coach.

Teams may play with no fewer than 5 players.

 

For Mixed Divisions – 3 men and 3 women must be on court during the play. If a team plays with 5 players, 3 of these players must be female.

format

COMPETITION FORMAT

The competition will be played over 5 days from morning to afternoon.

 

TEAMS

The competition will be played in a round robin format followed by a single elimination tournament. Groups from 4 to 5 teams shall be established.

The 6 person and Co-Ed match will be won by the first team to win two sets. The first two sets are played to 25 points. If a third set is required, it is played to 15 points.

All points are scored using rally scoring, where a point is awarded on every rally regardless of who served.

 

DOUBLES

The competition will be played in a double elimination format.

The initial matches will be won by the team to reach 21 points (rally scoring).

In finals, the winner will be decided by the first team to win two sets to 15 points, using rally scoring. The margin must be two points.

A competitor may not play on more than one doubles team.

Medals are awarded to athletes placing first through third.

Awards ceremony will take place following the final for that division. The ceremony will take place at the venue.

 

 

getting there

This venue is serviced by the Mount Claremont Precinct WPFG Shuttle. 

 

Walk or use your free public transport to get to Elizabeth Quay Bus Station. 

From there multiple WPFG Shuttles will run throughout the day getting you to and from Gold Netball Centre.
