Ultimate Firefighter consists of four consecutive stages: Hose Task, Weight and Strength, Obstacle Course, and High Rise.
This sport is reserved for Firefighters only.
Competitors will wear Turnout coat/tunic, helmet, gloves, SCBA pack (no face mask), shorts and running style shoes.
Turnout Coats must meet N.F.P.A. or other Nationally certified standards on protective ensemble for Structural Fire Fighting. Helmets must be Nationally certified STRUCTURAL Firefighting entry helmets.
Turnout coat and helmet will be supplied. (GLOVES ARE MANDATORY)
A practice day has been arranged by Perth 2027 WPFG for Saturday 13 March 2027.

Event Cost: $60 per athlete competing individually, $30 per person in a team

format
The Ultimate Firefighter competition comprises 4 consecutive stages. All 4 stages are completed in one day.
Stage 1: Hose Task
Stage 2: Weight and Strength
Stage 3: Obstacle Course
Stage 4: High Rise
Athletes in the individual competition compete for the fastest timed completion of all 4 stages.
Team competition is an individual, timed competition comprised of 4 competitors to a team. Each team must complete all 4 stages but each competitor will compete in one of the stages only. The sum of the individual times will be the team time and will determine the result of competition. If a team member fails to complete his/her stage, the team is disqualified.
Individual scoring will calculate the individual with the lowest elapsed time as the winner.

Medals are awarded to athletes or teams placing first through third for each age and sex category.
Medal ceremonies will take place at the conclusion of the each day of the event, at the competition venue.
